Boris Johnson could face another Met inquiry as Labour refer flat makeover to police
The Metro says Boris Johnson could be subject to another police investigation after Labour referred his Downing Street flat refurbishment to the Met.
Lawyers acting for the opposition said there was a ‘reasonable suspicion’ that the Prime Minister had broken anti-bribery laws which the force was ‘duty-bound’ to investigate.
Scotland Yard confirmed it had received a letter and is considering what to do next.
The force is already investigating alleged Covid rule breaches inside Downing Street and earlier announced its intention to quiz 50 possible attendees this week.
