Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan stabbed at his Mumbai home
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is in the hospital following a stabbing incident at his Mumbai home early Thursday morning. Reports suggest an intruder broke into his residence in an upscale neighbourhood of the city and attacked him.
According to Mumbai police, the incident occurred after midnight when an unidentified man entered Khan’s house. A scuffle ensued, leaving the actor with multiple stab wounds.
Khan’s publicity team has described the event as an “attempted burglary” but has not disclosed further details. His family has yet to make any public statements.
The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he is undergoing surgery. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital’s chief operating officer, confirmed that Khan sustained six stab wounds, two of which are deep. One wound, dangerously close to the spine, is being treated by a team of specialist doctors.
Police investigations are ongoing to identify the assailant and uncover the motive behind the attack.
