Bill Cosby has spoke out for the first time since leaving prison after having his sex assault conviction overturned on Wednesday.
Cosby reacted to his release by declaring his innocence and thanking his fans in a tweet.
“I have never changed my stance nor my story,” Cosby wrote.
“I have always maintained my innocence.”
He added: “Thank you to all my fans, supporters and friends who stood by me through this ordeal. Special thanks to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court for upholding the rule of law.”
Cosby had served more than two years of his prison sentence in which he was originally due to serve three to 10 years in a state prison in Shippack, Pennsylvania.
