Big Brother fans were left startled after Jordan Sangha made unexpected admissions about his family history, with many sharing how proud they were of him for opening up.
On tonight’s episode of the ITV2 programme, Jordan was sitting in the garden with Trish Balusa and Matty Simpson, having become embroiled in somewhat of a love triangle with the latter.
At one point, Trish turned to Jordan to ask him how many siblings he has, to which the lawyer shared that he had half-siblings, but he doesn’t know how many.
Jordan, who is known for his dry sense of humour and way of speaking, told the others that his father was a ‘retired heroin addict’, to which Trish asked: ‘Is that a serious comment or is that a joke?’
‘It was a serious comment,’ Jordan confirmed, as Matty also asked: ‘For real?’
Jordan then continued, stating that his father was ‘very generous with his sperm’, and so he has ‘many half-siblings out and about’, adding that he doesn’t know them, other than one of his half-sisters.

Watch Big Brother’s Big Body Language
Metro.co.uk has launched its new Big Brother’s Big Body Language series with body language expert Judi James, available to watch on our YouTube channel every Thursday from 6pm.
When Trish asked if his dad ever tries to get in touch, Jordan stated that his dad was dead, explaining that was what he meant when he described him as a ‘retired heroin addict’.
Matty and Trish looked shocked to learn that Jordan was being sincere and not joking, as he outlined how comfortable he felt with opening up about his life with them, before drawing the conversation to a close.
On X (formerly Twitter), fans of the reality TV show expressed their love and support for Jordan, with one saying that they wanted to give him a ‘fat hug’.
‘Aww Jordan trying so hard to downplay what happened with his dad, but you can tell it’s affected him so much,’ one person wrote.
‘To be real for a second I’m really proud of Jordan for opening up and speaking on his past when he himself feels comfortable and stopping the conversation in his own time on his own terms,’ another said.
Someone else commented: ‘I fully understand no as to why Jordan is so guarded and I admire him for actually telling that story 👏🏽 also his humour is my humour. What a man.’
One person added: ‘Oh Jordan, him sharing his family background is so nice even though it’s such a tough situation to talk about! I can’t help but really root for Jordan!’
A viewer shared that they could relate to Jordan’s situation, as they had a sister who died from a heroin addiction, and when they talk about her death they ‘just come out with it’.
‘Jordan’s had a rough one. A lesson to me not to stupidly judge someone by an accent,’ another stated.
‘This is why I like BB, it’s about how there’s far more that binds us than sets us apart. We’re more than what we present to the world. This is what makes #BBUK work.’
Big Brother returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
