Cliff Notes – Beyoncé fans ‘annoyed’ to find their seats moved 5 days before tour begins

    • Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour has faced backlash from fans due to last-minute seat changes, with notifications sent just four days before the first concert in California.
    • While some fans expressed frustration over obstructed views and the timing of the changes, others welcomed the new seating arrangements, claiming they received better locations.

Beyoncé fans ‘annoyed’ to find their seats moved 5 days before tour begins

Just days before Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter hits the road, ticketholders are ‘annoyed’ at a last-minute change of plan.

Cowboy Carter, the 43-year-old’s big foray into country music, has taken the music world by storm, with the music icon finally winning her album of the year Grammy after 99 nominations.

In a screengrab posted on X, one fan showed a notification they got from the Ticketmaster just four days before the first Cowboy Carter concert in California, informing them their seat had changed.

‘Due to changes in stage production, your original seats for the Cowboy Carter tour will now have an obstructed view.

‘The event organised has accommodated you with new seats in a comparable location on the floor.

‘Your new tickets are in your Ticketmaster account now; your original tickets are no longer valid for entry.’

Some Queen Bey obsessives were not happy with the last-minute change.

‘Changes in what! I got my ticket based off of the stage design. Please don’t pmo,’ wrote @RevereRomance on X.

‘Without a refund!?’ asked @wifticaltemp, while @KafoaIlima said: ‘Arrrggghhh I got pushed back 4 rows I’m annoyed.’

‘Ohh I would be pisseddddd,’ said @maseratimammi, while @blinkedup said: ‘Please stop making changes 5 days before the start of the tour are you crazy?’

However, others called the seat changes a blessing for those whose seats were upgraded to better floor positions.

‘Imagine being blessed like this… A FLOOR SEAT WITHOUT AN UPCHARGE?!?’ said @quarterlymatt, while

‘She’s likely giving them better seats in a better section. They’re so lucky,’ said @deemxreckless.

@breeyonce, whose ticket was changed, said: ‘I trust in the Mother of the House of Renaissance. I am not mad about my seat change.’

Others wondered whether seats were being moved around to fill out the venue, which is yet to sell out due to tickets for Cowboy Carter seemingly appearing on Ticketmaster after the initial sale scramble.

Tickets for the Inglewood event on Monday are still available to buy from just $45 for resale tickets and $85 for standard ones, with many available throughout the venue.

How to get tickets for Beyoncé UK Cowboy Carter Tour

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour is coming to the UK in June over five nights in the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Tickets are still available, with prices starting from around £100, and they can be purchased via Ticketmaster.

There are many tickets still available for Bey’s first Cowboy Carter date in the US

It is unclear why these tickets appeared, though the Ticketmaster website explains: ‘When customers find available tickets either online or through any of the other access points, those tickets are actually reserved while the customer considers the purchase.

‘During that period, which lasts for only a few minutes, no one else can view or purchase those tickets. If the customer decides not to buy the tickets, they are “released” and become available to other purchasers.

‘So if a customer is looking at 10th row centre seats and decides not to buy, those seats become available for another customer.

‘A venue may release more tickets for Ticketmaster to sell as the event date approaches. This happens for several reasons such as 1) The artist or team may no longer need the tickets that were held when the event originally went on sale, or 2) Once the stage or event area is set up, the venue has a better idea about which seats are obstructed.

‘Sometimes events are so popular that even seats with obstructed views are released for sale.

‘Additionally, sometimes a customer attempts to buy tickets but their credit card is declined. If Ticketmaster is unable to contact the customer to secure a valid credit card or billing address, Ticketmaster may cancel the order and release the tickets for sale.

‘Tickets may also be re-released if a customer does not follow Ticketmaster’s published ticket limits or other terms of use.’
