Benjamin Sesko backs decision to join RB Leipzig after Manchester United interest
The Metro says Benjamin Sesko insists he made the ‘better’ decision to join RB Leipzig this summer despite interest from Manchester United.
The 20-year-old was on United’s shortlist as Erik ten Hag made the signing of a new striker one of his priorities in the summer transfer window.
However, United did not follow up on their interest and instead opted to sign Rasmus Hojlund in a £72 million deal from Atalanta.
Sesko, meanwhile, completed his €24 million (£20.6m) move to RB Leipzig in the summer after the deal with Red Bull Salzburg was initially agreed last year.
