A popular liqueur has been axed from UK stores just days before Christmas.
Shoppers looking to grab a bottle of Godiva chocolate liqueur will be very disappointed this festive season. That’s because the Christmas chocolate favourite, which made its grand debut in the UK in 2020, will no longer be sold.
Godiva confirmed the sad news of the liqueur’s discontinuation on X (formerly known as Twitter), which is likely to come as an awful last-minute blow to customers.
‘We regret to inform you that our GODIVA Chocolate Liqueur has been discontinued,’ the brand shared on social media.

‘We understand this news may be disappointing, but we invite you to explore our other delectable GODIVA treats. Thank you for your understanding.’
In another post shared this month in the lead-up to Christmas, the chocolatiers tweeted: ‘Confirming that our Liqueur products have been discontinued.’
However, there’s still some hope (it’s Christmas, after all) as some online shops are still selling the drink, including VIP Bottles (£34.99), Drink Supermarket (£36.99) and The Bottle Club (£34.99).

You might have tried the Belgian brand’s premium chocolates before, but the liqueur drink takes it to a whole new level.
The bottles, available in the classic chocolate flavour and a white chocolate option, were first launched by The Bottle Club in July 2020 to celebrate World Chocolate Day, and were inspired by the world-famous brand’s famous sweet treats.
If you’re able to grab a bottle or two before Yuletide, you can either enjoy the tipple on its own served chilled in a coupe glass, or use it as the perfect chocolatey base in homemade cocktails.
