The BBC is fresh in the middle of a new crisis as MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace faces accusations of inappropriate behaviour. On Thursday, MasterChef’s production company said Wallace will step away from presenting the show while allegations of historical misconduct are investigated.
At least 13 women have accused him with former Newsnight host Kirsty Wark one of those who have accused him of making inappropriate sexual comments.
Wallace’s lawyers say it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature.

The right-leaning press highlights that the new allegations are a new scandal for the BBC. It comes not long after the Huw Edwards scandal broke.
The left-leaning press highlights the allegations from the alleged victims. Many highlight the ‘boasts, ‘jokes’ and conduct’ that has been reported including Wallace making inappropriate sexual comments.
Several of the tabloids report on Sir Rod Stewart’s reaction to Wallace’s situation. Sir Rod accuses Wallace of humiliating his wife whilst she was on his show – calling him a bully.
