Barcelona 0-4 Real Madrid (1-4 agg) Real Madrid reach the Copa del Rey final
Karim Benzema scored a second-half hat-trick to lead Real Madrid to a 4-0 (Agg 4-1) win against Barcelona in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semifinal.
With the win, Madrid advanced to the final where they will face Osasuna on May 6.
Vinicius Jr. scored the equaliser for Madrid just before halftime, while Benzema added two goals early in the second half to put the visitors in control.
The French striker completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute to seal the win for Madrid. The victory also ended Barcelona’s run of Clasico win.
Despite the loss, Barcelona can take solace in the fact that they are closing in on their first league title since 2019, having already won the Spanish Super Cup.
For Madrid, the win gives them a chance to pursue back-to-back Champions League wins and a first Copa del Rey triumph in nine years.
