Jason Tartick has spoken out after announcing his split from Kaitlyn Bristowe, revealing his heartache.
The former couple, who appeared on separate seasons of the Bachelorette, confirmed that they had ended their engagement on Sunday after around four years of dating.
After revealing that they had gone their separate ways, the banker, 34, shared a string of photos on his Instagram story, reminiscing on their time together.
Across a series of posts, he wrote: ‘Thank you for the support and love over the years. I will forever be grateful for this beautiful person that was brought into my life.
‘Beyond heartbroken. Please be kind as we go through our individual journeys to heal.’
Clearly devastated, Kaitlyn posted a tearful snap on her own page, explaining that she would be taking time away from social media.

‘See you soon. Bye for now,’ the 38-year-old said. ‘If everyone can say some sort of prayer for both of our hearts we would love that.
‘I just know social media can be awful so taking a little break.’
Kaitlyn first stepped into the limelight in 2015 when she appeared in The Bachelor, initially hoping to impress Chris Soules.
After being eliminated, she went on to become the Bachelorette in season 11 and ended the program with Shawn Booth – but it wasn’t to be and they called time on their relationship in 2018.

Jason competed in the Bachelorette three years later, in season 14, but Becca Kufrin ended up choosing Garrett Yrigoyen.
Shortly after his stint, he met Kaitlyn and they became close, making their romance official at the beginning of 2019, before getting engaged in 2021.
On Sunday, they released a joint statement, confirming they had ended their engagement after two years.
‘After sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement,’ the lengthy message read.
‘We are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.
‘Our dogs Ramen & Pinot will continue to be cared for together as brothers. While their humans are no longer romantically involved, we will love and take care of them together.’
They added: ‘Continuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us. We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other. It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die.
‘We are beyond thankful for the memories made together, and for your support of us and the boys throughout the years. Moving forward we will always have that level of support for each other. We don’t know what the future holds so please try to hold space for us in your hearts.’
