St Louis shooting: Three dead, seven injured after school shooting A US school shooting has seen three people, including the suspect killed, and seven others injured. The gunman entered Central Visual & Performing Arts High School shortly after 09:00 local time (13:00 GMT) on Monday. The doors of the school building were locked and it’s not yet clear how the suspect entered. The gunman was “quickly stopped” by police, after exchanging gunfire and more lives were saved after the gunman’s weapon jammed mid-attack. Premier Inn and restaurant chains owner reports profit bounceback to pre-Covid levels The owner of Premier Inn and restaurant chains including Beefeater has reported a bounceback in profits to above pre-Covid levels but warned of a £60m increase in costs this year fuelled by soaring inflation.
