Tourists in Portofino could be fined for posing for selfies Portofino, a town on the Italian Riviera, has introduced no-waiting zones to prevent tourists from “lingering” in popular beauty spots and taking pictures.  The zones, which include the most photogenic hotspots, have become very crowded during peak times, resulting in “anarchic chaos” with blocked streets and massive traffic jams. Mayor Matteo Viacava has implemented the measures to tackle the problem, with those who loiter too long facing a fine of up to €275 (£242). Andrew Lester, accused of shooting black teen Ralph Yarl, turns himself in Andrew Lester, 84, from Missouri has turned himself in to the police after shooting a 16-year-old boy who mistakenly rang his doorbell. He Andrew Lester was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action but has not been charged with a hate crime, despite a “racial component” being identified by prosecutors.  The white homeowner shot Ralph Yarl, a black teenager, once in the head and once in the arm last Thursday night in Kansas City. Fox News settles Dominion defamation case for $787.5m Fox News has settled a defamation lawsuit with Dominion, a voting machine company, over its reporting of the 2020 presidential election.  In a last-minute settlement, Fox News agreed to pay $787.5m – about half of the $1.6bn initially sought by Dominion. The lawsuit argued that Fox News had sullied Dominion’s reputation by airing falsehoods about the 2020 vote being stolen from former President Trump.
