Prices rise for package holidays in Greece, Spain and Turkey Holiday prices have jumped for Mediterranean hotspots including Majorca and Crete. All-inclusive package holidays are soaring, with the average price of a week with full food and board in Majorca in Spain up 21%. Prices for Tenerife have risen more than 22%, figures from TravelSupermarket showed. Crete is 25% more expensive than last year. The most popular destinations, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Portugal and Cyprus have all gone up nearly 12%. And prices beyond the Med have also risen, according to the BBC.
Presumed human remains found in Titan sub debris The wreck of the Titan submersible has been pulled out of the sea and presumed human remains have been found within the wreckage, according to the US coast guard. The sub imploded on a deep dive to see the wreckage of the Titanic. Five people were killed instantly, including three British nationals. Madonna postpones tour after intensive care stay American pop star Madonna has postponed her world tour after being in a hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) with a serious bacterial infection.
