Police looking at whether prison staff helped Khalife escape Met Police boss Mark Rowley has said police are looking into the possibility prison staff may have helped Daniel Khalife escape prison.  Khalife, 21, a terror suspect and ex-British soldier, escaped from Wandsworth prison in Southwest London on Wednesday morning. Five million vapes thrown away every week – research Material Focus – a recycling campaign group, said recent research shows five million disposable vapes are thrown away each week in the UK, a fourfold increase over the past year. Only 17% of people who vape recycle their vapes in the correct recycling bins, the research found. The vaping industry says it is working to improve recycling rates. Hong Kong and southern China battle widespread flooding from record rains Widespread flooding is sweeping Hong Kong and southern Chinese cities as the region experiences some of its heaviest rainfall on record. In Hong Kong, streets and subway stations were completely underwater as officials shut schools and workplaces.
