Several missing after ships collide in North Sea – officials Two cargo ships have collided off Germany’s North Sea Coast, leaving several people missing, authorities say. The British-flagged Verity collided with the Bahamian Polesie at around 05:00 local time on Tuesday morning. The Verity is believed to have sunk. The German coastguard said at least one person has been rescued and teams are searching for the missing. One person was rescued from the water and is being given medical care.
