Norway gay bar gun attack video shown as trial starts Zaniar Matapour, 44, has pleaded not guilty to terror charges at the start of his trial for the murder of two people in a gun attack on two bars in Oslo.  At the start of the trial, a three-minute police video was shown, showing CCTV footage of how the attack unfolded outside the two bars during Pride celebrations. In a recent development regarding the ongoing South China Sea dispute, China has accused the Philippines of ignoring proposals aimed at managing the conflict. According to an unnamed senior Chinese official speaking to the Manila Times, the proposals were “met with inaction by the Marcos administration”.

Leonid Volkov, a long-time ally of the late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, has been attacked outside his home in Lithuania.  Volkov was attacked with a hammer and tear gas while in his car in Vilnius on Tuesday night.
