Many of Tuesday’s newspapers lead with the death of Sven-Goran Eriksson who died at the age of 76 following a terminal cancer diagnosis. Eriksson, the first foreign manager of the England football team is pictured on both the front and back pages. Many of the papers quote a recent documentary on his life, in which he told the audience: “Don’t be sorry, smile.” 

Beyond the tributes, the headlines on the front page are fairly varied but are centred around domestic news, with politics being the most popular this morning.

Oasis Tour – Oasis reunite after 15 years to announce 2025 world tour Oasis have confirmed they will reunite after 15 years. The band will play shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin in July and August 2025- tickets go on sale on Saturday. They will play shows outside of Europe later in 2025. The band says: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised”. There had been days of speculation around a potential reunion. Canada hits China-made electric cars with 100% tariff Canada has announced it will impose a 100% tariff on electric vehicles (EVs) made in China, following similar actions by the United States and the European Union. The country also plans to implement a 25% duty on Chinese steel and aluminium imports. The move comes amid accusations from Canada and its Western allies that China is unfairly subsidising its EV industry, giving Chinese manufacturers an advantage in the global market. Five dead after Israeli airstrike on refugee camp in West Bank At least five people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Nur Shams refugee camp near Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian officials.
