Asda introduces permanent hybrid working for offices
Asda will make hybrid working permanent at its head offices when Covid restrictions come to an end.
Around 4,000 staff at both Asda House in Leeds and George House in Leicester can choose where they work.
Covid restrictions are set to be lifted on 19 July and many businesses are looking to adopt a flexible working system on a permanent basis.
Asda said its new approach “will encourage colleagues to select the best location to do their job”, including home, head office or even a store or depot.
The new model will not work for all Asda employees – such as those who need to have close contact with colleagues.
But it said staff also “have the flexibility to work from home when it is more productive to do so, such as tasks that involve planning or research”.
