No Time To Die release date delay will cost $30m
ScreenRant says the new James Bond film – No Time To Die – will cost MGM studios $30 million. It is the 25th film in the James Bond franchise and is a farewell to its star Daniel Craig in the iconic role. It will mark his fifth appearance as 007, which began in 2006 with the release of Casino Royale.
No Time To Die had been in the headlines ever since its development. It was initially reported Craig was uninterested in reprising the role and had trouble landing a director.
The initial release date was pushed back due to finding a director and then as the April 2020 date was set, fears of the spread of the coronavirus caused its Chinese debut and press tour to be cancelled. The film is now set to premiere in November 2020.

Iran film about executions wins top prize at a Berlin Film Festival
WTX News says Mohammad Rasoulof’s film about capital punishment has won the top prize at the Berlin International Film Festival.
The Iranian director was banned from directing in 2017. He produced There Is No Evil, his sixth film, in secret.
But the director is unable to travel outside of Iran because of charges relating to his earlier films.
Mr Rasoulf’s daughter Baran – who stars in the film, received the Golden Bear on his behalf.

Amy Winehouse’s family says biopic will tell the “real” story of the late singer’s life
NME says Amy Winehouse’s family have said they’re in the early stages of creating a biopic and a show about the late singer.
A big-screen take on Amy’s life, approved by her family, was originally set to begin filming in 2019, with an unknown actress taking on the role of the iconic singer.
It hasn’t gone into production just yet but Amy’s family say they are still planning to show the “real Amy” on the big screen.
Speaking at Winehouse’s induction into the Music Walk of Fame in London, her father told NME: “There’s a couple of things I can’t elucidate if that’s the right word. I can’t really elaborate on, but yeah, there will be something like that, and a show.”

Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s sister releases new music
WTX News says Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s sister Isobel has released a new single, which she has described as “intimate.”
Isobel is a classical composer who came into the public eye after writing the music for her sister’s hit show Fleabag.
She has also written the scores for other films and shows including Emma, Black Mirror and Vanity Fair.
Isobel has said her new single – September – is her “most personal project” and has called it a “hello” to her new record label Mercury KX.

Woody Allen’s son Ronan Farrow hits out at plans to publish filmmaker’s memoirs
Sky News says Woody Allen’s son and Journalist Ronan Farrow has hit out at his publisher over plans to release his father’s autobiography, saying it “shows a lack of ethics and compassion for victims of sexual abuse.”
Farrow is best known for investigating sex crimes and is one of the reporters who triggered Harvey Weinstein’s downfall. He is a long-time critic of his film director father.
His adopted sister Dylan Farrow has accused Allen of molesting her in the early 90s. But Allen, 84, has always denied the allegations and was never charged following two separate investigations.

Harvey Weinstein moved to Rikers Island after a heart operation
WTX News says Former Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein has been moved from hospital to an infirmary unit at Rikers Island jail in New York City.
Weinstein was found guilty last month of one count of carrying out a criminal sex act on a woman in 2006 and one count of third-degree rape for a 2013 attack on another woman.
But due to concerns about his blood pressure and heart palpitations, Weinstein was transferred from the court to a hospital instead of jail.
Weinstein’s spokesman Juda Engelmayer said the 67-year-old had a “successful” heart procedure but gave no further details.
