Fall from Grace: Aaron Hernandez, the $40m NFL star, turned killer
WTX News reports with the Super Bowl just around the corner, Netflix has released a three-part docuseries telling the shocking story of a much-loved NFL player convicted of first-degree murder.
The modern-world loves a fall from grace but the trajectory of Aaron’s was particularly steep and strangely compelling – a senseless, horrific collapse unfolding in the social media age.
Netflix’s new series – Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, examines the facts of the case. In the summer of 2013, Hernandez was arrested for the murder of Odin Lloyd at his mansion in Massachusetts, it all seemed unreal.

Gwyneth Paltrow seems to forget she was in Spider-Man … AGAIN
ScreenRant says, Gwyneth Paltrow has forgotten she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming and not for the first time.
While on co-star John Favreau’s Netflix cooking show, Paltrow denied being in any Spider-Man movies until she was shown a clip of her scenes in Homecoming. The actress was apparently surprised to learn that she was in a Spider-Man movie and not a different Avengers movie.
He also forgot entire co-stars such as Spider-Man himself Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier). Paltrow says she keeps forgetting which MCU movies she’s been in because of overlapping production schedules and general similarity in her role from movie to movie.
And it happened again. This time on Instagram. Gwyneth seemed to forget another Spider-Man co-star.

Eminem slammed for ‘mocking’ Manchester Arena bombing in his surprise new album
DailyPost reports rapper Eminem has been slammed for apparently making light of the Manchester Arena bombing in a new song.
On Friday he released a surprise album – Music to be Murdered to – featuring a song called Unaccomodating. In the song, which features Young M.A, it features the line: “But I’m contemplating yelling ‘bombs away’ on the game like I’m outside of an Ariana Grande concert waiting.”
The Manchester attack to place as fans were leaving an Ariana Grande concert, the suicide bomber claimed the lives of 22 people on May 22 2017.

Mac Miller: New album Circles still pushing Hip Hop’s boundaries
The Guardian reports Mac Miller dies in September 2018, just weeks after releasing his fifth album Swimming.
A new album – Circles – has just been released. Miller was in the process of recording the album when he died. The album is a companion piece to swimming,
‘Circles’ picks up where his previous record left off in some ways, with Miller continuing to gild his inner turmoil with a thin layer of optimism. Though not as silly as his emo-rap peers tend to be, Miller’s lyrics possess a plainness that occasionally yields moments of heart-rendering simplicity.
Despite it being a nominal rap album, there are parts of it that are not so easy to relate to traditional hip hop.

Sandi Toksvig quits Great British Bake Off to work on other projects
Sky News reports Sandi Toksvig has quit The Great British Bake Off as a presenter so she can focus on other projects.
The popular host presented the show alongside comedian Noel Fielding and judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith for three years.
They replaced duo Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc when the programme moved from BBC1. Hollywood is the only original star of the show after Mary Berry also left before the channel move.

Oscars nominations overwhelmingly white and male … AGAIN
WTX News says This year’s Oscar nominations have been announced, and its a familiar sight. Once again leading the pack is white men.
Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix, is up for 11 awards. The controversial film is followed by The Irishman, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and 1917 which all have 10 nods each.
However, the prestigious Academy Awards are facing criticism once again for the lack of diversity. Only one black person made it into the acting category and one non-white director was chosen for the director’s category. Once again, no women were nominated for Best Director.
