Arnold Schwarzenegger is being sued by a cyclist after a car accident in February, it has been reported.

The Canadian actor, 76, was involved in a collision back in February with a woman on a bike, who was transported to hospital with injuries.

At the time, law enforcement told a US publication that the Terminator star accidentally hit the woman when she took a left turn in front of Schwarzenegger’s SUV before he had a chance to brake.

He was said to have been travelling at a slow speed, according to TMZ, who reported the incident at the time.

But now, a woman named Joanne Flickinger – who alleges she is the cyclist in question – has accused the bodybuilder of driving ‘with excessive speed and fail[ing] to keep a proper lookout’ when the accident happened.

She also claims the collision caused her severe injuries, according to the publication, which also noted back in February Schwarzenegger attached the bike to his SUV and took it to the local repair shop in the wake of the incident.

This is not the first time the Iron Mask star has been involved in a traffic collision, as he was caught up in a ‘multi-car crash’ last year, in which a woman ended up hospitalised.

The former governor of California was said to have collided with a Prius after which his GMC Yukon SUV ended up ‘on top’ of it.

His car then rolled onto a Porsche that was ‘directly behind’ his vehicle – with an eyewitness reportedly saying it ‘looked like a stunt from a movie’.

In this instance, the driver was taken to hospital with head injuries.

Schwarzenegger’s representatives confirmed that he was not injured and after he stayed at the scene, speaking with firefighters and police.

Sources also told TMZ he was worried about the injured driver, and wanted to personally check up on her.

The next day, Schwarzenegger was behind the wheel again and riding his bike around town.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Arnold Schwarzenegger’s representatives for comment.
