Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric is confident that his team will secure their Premier League survival after a recent surge in form. The Clarets, who have been in the bottom three all season, have collected 10 points from their last seven games, including a crucial 4-1 victory over relegation rivals Sheffield United.
Muric, who put in a stellar performance at Bramall Lane, believes that the team’s energy and belief are key factors in their recent success. He stated, “We believe in it every day, it’s not just saying it. Everyone looks like we believe in it. We had some good games in the previous games and I think we’ll be good. We’re going to do it I think.”
The goalkeeper’s outstanding saves helped Burnley secure their second league win of the year, climbing to within three points of 17th-placed Nottingham Forest. Despite facing Everton on Sunday, Muric remains optimistic about their chances of staying in the top flight.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder admitted that his team’s season is effectively over as they struggle at the bottom of the table. Goalkeeper Ivo Grbic’s shaky performances have been a cause for concern, with Wilder considering making changes to the lineup.
As Burnley’s survival bid heats up, all eyes will be on their upcoming matches as they fight to secure their place in the Premier League for another season.
