Andy Murray honoured with ‘stunning’ new 20ft mural at tennis club in Dunblane where he learned to play
Andy Murray has been honoured with a new 20ft mural at Dunblane Sports Club, where he learned to play tennis as a child, following his retirement.
Murray officially retired from professional tennis after the recent Olympic Games in Paris, ending one of the most iconic careers in the history of British sport.
The 37-year-old ended Britain’s 77-year wait for a Wimbledon men’s singles champion in 2013, which sparked emotional scenes up and down the country.
Murray landed the trophy again in 2016 while he also won the 2012 US Open and clinched two Olympic gold medals in singles, as well as a silver in mixed doubles.
