Andy Murray has shoes stolen and loses wedding ring in bizarre Indian Wells incident
The Daily Express says Andy Murray is yet to compete at Indian Wells this week, but he’s already got off to a terrible start after having his wedding ring stolen in a bizarre incident in California. The three-time Grand Slam champion had gone out for dinner after finishing his final practice session of the day.
But Murray had left his tennis shoes in the car – and they weren’t in the best condition after a hot day in Indian Wells.
After returning to the hotel, the former British No 1 details how he had to leave them under his car overnight to “air them out”.
