Amnesty International released a report on Thursday which concludes that Israel is “committing genocide” against Palestinians in Gaza. The report says Israel has “unleashed hell and destruction on Palestinians in Gaza brazenly, continuously and with total impunity”. Amnesty’s report is the first such determination by a prominent human rights organisation in the 14-month-old conflict. Israel denies allegations of genocide, accusing Hamas of using civilians as human shields.
