Amber Heard sells California home amid $8m debt
Amber Heard has sold her California desert home, according to the New York Post. The actress sold her Cali oasis just two months after being ordered to pay Johnny Depp more than $8 million after he won his defamation case against his ex-wife.
The Yucca Valley estate sits on 6 acres of land in California and boasts three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Heard bought the home back in 2019 for a cool $570,000 and has made quite the profit – selling it for $1.05 million, property records from July 18 confirm.
The home spans more than 2,350 square feet and the previous listing described the estate as “the chance to own a once in a lifetime property.”
The home boasts views of mountains and desert rocks and features a 110-foot engineered bridge, which leads to a mountainside gazebo.
The house sees solid iron front doors, a kitchen with a double griddle stove and wiring for the whole-home surround stereo system.
The master bedroom features a dual walk-in wardrobe and grand stone dual sinks plus a soaking bath.
There is also a 1,200-square feet garage.
Whilst Heard has scored a big profit off the property, she’s facing an $8.3 million debt to former husband Johnny Depp – after she was found guilty of defamation by a jury.
She was asked to pay $10 million in compensatory damages, plus $350,000 in punitive damages. Whilst Depp was ordered to pay her $2 million to Heard who won one of her countersuits. The big bill Heard faces is money her lawyers say she does not have.
The news comes after unsealed court documents show Heard walked away from a divorce payout that could have run into tens of millions of dollars.
