Amber Heard has reportedly made a very brief appearance in a brand new trailer for Aquaman 2.
The actress, 37, is set to reprise her role as Mera in the upcoming blockbuster, which once again stars Jason Momoa as the titular character.
Officially titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the film was hit with controversy last year during Amber’s legal battle with ex husband Johnny Depp.
During the trial, in which a jury decided she did defame her ex, a petition calling for her removal from the flick reached 4.5million signatures.
She had also claimed during the highly-publicised trial that her role in the upcoming sequel was ‘reduced’, and that she ‘fought really hard to stay in the movie.’
However Walter Hamada, president of DC Films at Warner Bros, testified that there were fears of a ‘lack of chemistry’ between Amber and Jason and claimed there were talks of recasting her, rather than it being to do with the situation with her ex-husband.
Now CinemaCon attendees have reportedly been given a first look at the trailer – and Amber’s character makes a short appearance.

According to Deadline, Mera makes a short cameo in the middle of a battle scene, but does not have a speaking role.
The trailer sees Aquaman, who has a new baby, speaking with Temuera Morriso’s character about the pressure of being a king, before it jumps ahead to show off new enemy Black Trident.
The new threat vows to ‘destroy Aquaman and everything he holds dear,’ while King Orm pleads with Aquaman to ‘lead.’
Reports last year had indicated Amber’s role had been axed from the film after losing the defamation trial against the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
However a spokesperson for Amber told Variety that the reports were ‘inaccurate, insensitive and slightly insane.’

During the trial, Amber had testified that she was given a new script for Aquaman 2 with a ‘very pared-down version’ of her role. She also denied that she only got the role because of her connection to her ex husband.
The trial revolved around actor Johnny, 59, suing his ex-wife over an article she wrote detailing domestic abuse experience for The Washington Post in 2018.
The op-ed did not name the Pirates of the Caribbean actor but he argued it did suggest he was physically and sexually abusive towards Heard during their marriage.
