Ascot is a chance for celebrities to don their most glamourous outfit and Amanda Holden has wowed fans in her chic purple dress and coordinating hat.
The tiny town of Ascot plays host to celebs and royals each year during Royal Ascot, and while your favourite British icon might be there to enjoy the racing – and the drinks – we get to see all the fabulous outfits.
Amanda Holden attended day two of the five-day event dressed in a simple but stunning structured purple dress, with matching shoes and bag.
Of course, it’s not Ascot without a hat and the 52-year-old completed her look with a deeper purple number with a small encrusted veil and a jewelled detail.
She was spotted watching the races with a glass of white wine as well as taking selfies with famous friends, including Charlene White, Jonathan Ross and Josie Gibson.
The star posted a smiley picture on her Instagram with friend and comedian Alan Carr, captioned: ‘@chattyman with his favourite Nag #RoyalAscot #racingwithpride @itv @itvxofficial 🎩.’

Alan joked in the comments: ‘You are a thoroughbred 😍.’
The Chatty Man star wore a grey suit with a subtle blue plaid print, although no hat for him as top hats are reserved for the Royal Enclosure at the event.
Posting the same picture to his Instagram, Alan wrote: ‘Recently every time I’ve seen @noholdenback she’s been wearing a hard hat but boy does she scrub up well ❤️🥰😍 x.’
He might always see her in a hard hat but Amanda treated fans recently to pictures of the presenter in a stunning Marilyn Monroe costume, with the iconic white dress moment replicated faultlessly.
Fans were loving Amanda’s Ascot outfit, calling her ‘fabulous’ and ‘gorgeous’ in the flattering Victoria Beckham-designed dress.

The star wasn’t alone in her trip to day two of the lavish affair, as Georgia Toffolo, 28, – better known as Toff was spotted in a stunning pastel blue ensemble.
Fellow presenter Lorraine Kelly, 63, has also joined in the fun, rocking her white and yellow floral number and twinning with her daughter.

It’s only day two so we may see more fabulous outfits from Amanda and other celebrities, influencers and royals as the week continues.
Yesterday marked the start of the event with King Charles and Queen Camilla attending and taking part in the traditional royal procession for the first time since taking on their new roles.
The event was known to be well-loved by The Queen, who had more than 20 Royal Ascot winners during her 70-year reign.
The King is thought to have inherited 37 racehorses from his mother, some of which are racing over the week.
