Amanda Holden was having a whale of the time over the weekend, tapping into her inner Hollywood star.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, who is never one to shy away from a glamorous outfit or an opportunity to dress up, pulled out all the stops this time for a ‘special’ birthday party.
Amanda, 52, showed off her finished look on Instagram on Saturday night ahead of attending a costume party.
She was dressed as cinema icon Marilyn Monroe in her famous white halter-neck silk dress from the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch.
The TV star was also sporting a perfectly coiffured platinum blonde wig in the appropriate style, as well as red lipstick, glamorous eye make-up and a fake beauty mark to match her inspiration’s.
The movie and famous outfit were immortalised for the scene in which Monroe’s character walked over a subway grate and enjoyed a ‘delicious breeze’ from below, which blew up her skirt.

Writing in the caption alongside her pose mimicking the moment, with her hands at her knees and the skirt billowing, Amanda wrote: ‘#marilynmonroe for a special birthday party ❤️’
Mum-of-two Amanda also shared a TikTok of herself dancing around her garden patio, lip syncing to Monroe’s famous rendition of the song I Wanna Be Loved by You.
It cheekily revealed the secret to her costume as well, as the Heart presenter was seen larking about in matching white stilettos while wires in her dress held it up to look like it was constantly blowing in the breeze.
Amanda also gave a shout out to her hair and make-up team for the event, as she shared a close-up of her glamorous look ahead of the party on her Instagram stories.

Another photo showed her posing with a drink in one hand next to a giant Kermit the Frog dressed in dapper black tie, which we assume could be her husband, Chris Hughes.
Chris was recently reported as departing major talent agency YMU, which has represented a wide range of stars including Phillip Schofield, who was dropped from their books after 35 years following his admission that he had lied over his affair with a younger male colleague on This Morning.
Amanda, Simon Cowell, 63, and Davina McCall, 55, are among the stars currently on its roster, while its music arm reps Paris Hilton, 42.

Chris, who shares daughters Lexi, 17, and Hollie, 11, with Amanda, resigned as director at YMU on April 18, according to the Daily Mail.
After a slump in profits, worsened by the pandemic, the company is said to be exploring a financial restructuring.
Sky News reports that external advisors will undertake an independent business review of the agency.
