An Aldi customer was left dumbstruck by a cashier’s response to a pensioner who was left £1 short at the checkout.
The heartwarming encounter took the shopper aback and prompted her to share it online.
Roné Bouwer Baxendell recalled how the elderly woman appeared to keep tabs on her shopping total as the items were scanned through the till.
When she came up short, the Aldi worker stepped in to help and offered to pay the remainder, reports Manchester Evening News.
