Alan Carr was chastised by friend and TV co-star Amanda Holden for dropping a saucy phrase live on BBC.
The comedian appeared alongside the Britain’s Got Talent judge on The One Show this Friday (January 12) to promote the second series of their renovation show, Italian Job.
Naturally, it was a laugh a minute with Alan and Amanda together.
As the much-loved duo reflected on their recent trip to Tuscany – where they bought a house and renovated it for one euro before selling it and donating the profits to charity – they recalled how the property they bought was somewhat haunted.
A clip showed Alan and Amanda exploring the house, when they heard tapping noises from what they believe were ghosts.
At the time, Alan admitted he was ‘overwhelmed’, while Amanda assured the spirits that they were only inside the house with the intention of ‘doing good’.

Asked by One Show host Roman Kemp whether he was ‘genuinely concerned’ by the prospect of encountering a ghost, Alan had a NSFW phrase in response.
‘It was terrifying,’ he exclaimed.
‘It put the willies up me!’
Of course ‘putting the willies up’ is a well-known phrase and describes something scary or anxiety-inducing – but the hosts weren’t expecting to hear it come out of Alan’s mouth at 7pm on BBC One.
The comedian burst out laughing after processing what he had said, earning him a slap on the knee from Amanda.
‘This is a family show!’, she scolded.
‘What? What!’, Alan said, feigning innocence.

Radio DJ Roman struggled to keep it together, covering his face as he chuckled while Amanda and Alex Jones attempted to move the conversation forward.
‘Let’s keep going,’ Amanda giggled.
The chaotic duo then confirmed that there was definitely ‘something there’ in terms of spirits in the Italian house.
‘We found out who it was,’ Amanda added.
‘It was Rosa, who was the very sweet old lady who used to own it, so then we felt better because we felt like she was, kind of, watching over us. Then we felt like we had to do a good job for her.’
Amanda confessed she found filming ’emotional’ at times, given the connection she and Alan then had to the home and having looked through old photographs of the previous owners.
The sweet conversation didn’t last long, though, as Alan was soon back to swooning over the ‘fit’ Italian men he met on the trip.
Alex probed: ‘The big question is, did you get yourself an Italian stallion because that was, kind of, as well as renovating, that was the other sub-plot.’

‘He was fit, weren’t he? He was fit,’ Alan declared.
When reminded by Amanda that Luca was, sadly, ‘attached’, Alan didn’t seem too fussed.
‘Well, they’re Italian!’, he said, to which Amanda once again scolded: ‘Please don’t write that in.’
‘Sweeping generalisation!’, Alan cackled, earning a barrel of laughs from the studio crew.
Never change, Alan!
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer. Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
