AC Milan have made an initial bid of £12m for Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic, but the Blues want more for the American.
The 24-year-old is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as the Blues continue their significant clear-out, trimming the squad they bloated with seriously busy transfer windows over the last year.
The Athletic report that the Serie A giants have made their first move and hope to get Pulisic for €14m (£12m) as he only has one year left on his contract in west London.
However, Chelsea want more for the former Borussia Dortmund player and feel like they are in a position to get it as there is interest from other clubs as well.
ESPN report that Pulisic has already agreed terms with AC Milan over the move to the San Siro, so the USA international will be hoping that the clubs can come to an agreement on the fee.
Chelsea paid Dortmund £58m for Pulisic in 2019 and his spell in England has been plagued by injuries, which have limited him to just 98 Premier League appearances in four seasons since then.
He has made a total of 145 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, scoring 26 goals and winning the Champions League in 2021.
A number of first team players have already departed from Chelsea this summer, with Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy, Kai Havertz, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and N’Golo Kante all finding new clubs.
Loftus-Cheek has already signed for AC Milan, with Fikayo Tomori moving from Stamford Bridge to the San Siro in 2021.
