Abu Dhabi announced on Tuesday that it will provide free coronavirus vaccinations to tourists, which were previously exclusively available to UAE citizens and residents with residency visas.
The decision, however, does not appear to apply to Dubai or the other five emirates.
Visitors with Abu Dhabi visas and passport holders eligible for tourist visas, according to Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), can book free vaccinations upon their arrival in the UAE through Abu Dhabi.
Free vaccines are also available to those with expired residency or entry visas.
Around 85 percent of the eligible population has received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to UAE Health authorities.
