A-levels: 2022 students need easier exams to make up for Covid disruption, headteachers say
The i says students taking their A-levels in 2022 should be given easier exams next year to provide a more level playing field with pupils receiving teacher-assessed grades today, school leaders have said.
This year’s A-Level grades look set to break records after being determined by teachers following the cancellation of exams due to the pandemic.
Thousands of university students are expected to defer until 2022 as higher grades push up demand for places, creating intense competition for young people taking their A-levels next year.
