A double injustice
The Metro leads on Andrew Malkinson who spent 17 years behind bars for a rape he did not commit.
The paper says he has still not received compensation. Helen Pitcher, the head of the Criminal Cases Review Commission “which twice refused his bid to appeal” his conviction, resigned on Tuesday. Malkinson said that decision had made him “feel vindicated”, the paper reports.
