Detective Chief Inspector Ruby Burrow said: ‘These were frightening attacks on women and whilst we are keeping an open mind, we currently believe the same man is responsible.

‘We have carried out extensive lines of inquiry, including comprehensive CCTV trawls to locate the individual and house-to-house inquiries.

‘We have also had plain-clothed patrols in the area at key times so that we can catch him when he least expects it.’

Police said no further incidents have been reported since September, but officers remain determined to identify the person responsible.

DCI Burrow added: ‘Thankfully no other incidents have been reported to us since September.

‘However, our determination remains the same as the first day we received these reports and we won’t stop until the person responsible is in our custody.

‘We would urge the public to please view this footage. Do you know the man in the footage? Are you the man in the footage? Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.’

She added: ‘We know incidents like this can be alarming to the public, but rest assured we are doing everything we can to ensure the person responsible is caught.’

Anyone with information is being urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police.
