    CURRENT STATUS
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to visit Australia later this month for private, business, and philanthropic engagements, according to their spokesman.

    What we know so far

Meghan Markle shared new footage yesterday of her and Prince Harry’s children, Archie and Lilibet, celebrating Easter at their California home. While the Royal Family was gathered in Windsor for the traditional service, the Duchess of Sussex captured her children on an egg hunt, feeding chickens, and enjoying the day with their pet dog.

In the clips, six-year-old Archie painted Easter eggs with a dinosaur-themed decorator toy, while four-year-old Lilibet was seen running around with a stuffed bunny and wearing bunny ears. Meghan also included a moment where she filmed herself giving her chickens an Easter treat, sharing the post with her 4.5 million Instagram followers.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to return to Australia later this month for various private, business, and philanthropic engagements. Their spokesperson confirmed the plans, indicating that the couple is looking forward to both the Australian trip and upcoming charity events in the UK this summer.

Prince Harry expressed a desire to spend time with his family at Sandringham, contingent on security arrangements, as he and Meghan are no longer eligible for royal police protection since stepping back from royal duties in 2020. A fresh risk assessment by Ravec is underway to determine his current security needs.

Meghan Markle shared new footage of her and Prince Harry’s children yesterday.

While the Royal Family gathered in Windsor on Sunday morning to attend an Easter service, the Duchess of Sussex had slightly different plans.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet celebrated Easter at their California home by going on an egg hunt and feeding chickens with their pet dog.

Archie, six, painted Easter eggs with a ‘dinomazing’ decorator toy while Lilibet, four, ran around the garden carrying a stuffed bunny.

The pair were also captured running around the garden, Easter baskets in hand, as they hunted for eggs – complete with Lilibet wearing bunny ears.

Megan, meanwhile, filmed herself giving her chickens their own Easter treat – some lettuce.

She wrote in an Instagram post to her 4.5 million followers: ‘Happy Easter!’ Prince Harry was not seen in the social media post.

Across the pond, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children attended an Easter service for the first time since Kate’s cancer diagnosis.

Kate and William, with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at the Easter Matins service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the disgraced former duke, did not make an appearance.

Megan’s post comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to fly back to Australia later this month.

Their spokesman said: ‘Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will visit Australia to take part in a number of private, business and philanthropic engagements.’

But they’ll both be back in the UK this summer to attend charity events, with Harry attending a countdown for the Invictus Games, a sports event for wounded and sick military personnel.

Harry is keen on an invite by his father, Charles, to Sandringham, a country estate in Norfolk privately owned by the king.

Sources say that Harry also wants to bring his wife and two children to spend some ‘family time’ in England, though only if security is provided.

One insider told The Times: ‘He’d like an invite to Sandringham. Would he go? It would depend on who was there.

If the King were to say, “Come up and spend some time with the family,” he’d love that.

‘He always loves seeing his father and would love to see him as much as possible.’

The couple are no longer eligible for the police protection normally given to royals after they quit the Firm in 2020.

Harry attempted to challenge this decision, made by the committee called Ravec, in court.

He lost the High Court case last year, with a judge saying the committee’s call was lawful.

Ravec, otherwise known as the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures, is now conducting a fresh risk assessment of the Duke.
