Pokémon Legends: Z-A out now – here are the best UK deals and bundles
You don’t want to miss out on this adventure (The Pokémon Company)
If you’ve not pre-ordered a physical copy of Pokémon Legends: Z-A and wish you had, we’ve gathered the best offers around to help you save money.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is out today, the newest entry in the series and Nintendo’s most recent first party release for Switch and Switch 2.
In case you had your doubts about the game, and held off from pre-ordering it, it’s well worth playing, whether you’re a casual or hardcore Pokémon fan, as we found it to be a big improvement over the previous 3D entries.
You can easily download it digitally from the Nintendo eShop, but for those who would prefer a physical copy, we’ve scoured online retailers to find the best deals for you.
The best Pokémon Legends: Z-A deals for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
Whether you own a Switch or Switch 2, your first port of call should be Argos, as it has the best deal on both versions of Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Nintendo’s usual asking price is £49.99 for the Switch 1 version and £58.99 for the Switch 2 version, but Argos is selling them for £41.99 and £51.99, respectively.
Expert, exclusive gaming analysis
That’s already a decent bit of money you’re saving, but if you’re willing to register for Argos Marketing, you’ll receive a voucher code that takes £5 off any purchases of £40 and over.
Since that applies to both versions of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you can get the Switch 1 version for £36.99 or the Switch 2 version for £46.99.
The next best offers for the Switch 2 version are Lennie’s Toys, which has it for £50.99, and ShopTo, which has it for £52.85, but also throws in a set of Pokémon stickers, an in-game trench coat clothing set for dressing up your character, 100 pokémon balls, and some other extra healing items.
Currys is selling the Switch 2 version for £54.99 and is offering a bundle that includes a Switch 2 carrying case and screen protector. It still comes to £75.98 altogether, though, so it’s not saving you any money on the case.
If you’ve yet to upgrade to the Switch 2 yet, there is a bundle that includes the console and a digital copy of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. At time of writing, stock has run out on Nintendo’s own store, but Smyths has some going for the exact same price of £429.99.
Considering the console normally costs £395.99 on its own, this means you’re only paying £34 for the game and thus saving you £24.99.
For those of you sticking with the original Switch, most retailers, such as Amazon and Very, are selling that version of the game for £42.99.
As a reminder, the Switch 1 version can run on Switch 2 through backwards compatibility, but if you want to upgrade to the Switch 2 version, you need to pay for an upgrade pack that costs £7.99.
Conversely, you can also plug the Switch 2 cartridge into a Switch 1, but it will function like the Switch 1 version and loose all of the Switch 2 version’s enhancements, like its smoother frame rate.
It’s primarily a single-player adventure but there is online multiplayer too (The Pokémon Company)
