Britain will turn into a sea of red, white and blue today as the nation celebrates 80 years since the end of World War Two. Today’s VE Day anniversary marks 80 years since the Allies formally accepted Germany’s surrender.
Millions are expected to attend street parties and celebrations across the country as four days of celebrations come to an end. And Brits will be able to raise a glass to the past until the early hours, with pubs set to stay open until 1am, two hours later than usual.
