India launches air strikes on Pakistan
- India launches air strikes on Pakistan – with missile strikes targeting nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
- Attacking outside Kashmir is a major escalation.

- According to Pakistan’s military, three sites were struck, resulting in the deaths of eight individuals.
- Residents of Muzaffarabad, in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, reported being awakened by powerful explosions.
- India claims that three civilians were killed on its side of the Line of Control (LOC) due to shelling by Pakistani forces.
- The situation has escalated significantly following a recent militant attack that killed Indian tourists in Pahalgam.
- Pakistani army claim to have shot down 5 Indian air jets with debris found in Pampore, with India markings on it
- Indian authorities assert they have evidence (unverified) linking the attack to Pakistan-based militants with external support.
- Pakistan has rejected any involvement in the incident.
- Pakistan has said Islamabad will respond “at a time and place of its choosing”.
Heavy fighting and casualties in Kotli

While the LOC isn’t a formal international border, it serves as a de facto boundary between Indian and Pakistani control in the region.
Debris from an unidentified aircraft has been found in Pampore in Indian-administered Kashmir. There is no official confirmation yet on which aircraft has crashed.
Pakistan’s military claims it has shot down five Indian fighter jets but India has not commented on this yet.
