Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy shares emotional unseen footage of One Direction star
Kate Cassidy has shared an emotional unseen video of Liam Payne six months after his devastating death.
The One Direction star died aged 31 on October 16 after he fell from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
He was laid to rest on November 20 at a ceremony attended by the mother of his child, Bear, Girls Aloud star Cheryl and his former bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.
Since his death, Kate has been sharing her grieving process with fans, including heartbreakingly revealing his last words to her as she left him in Argentina.
Now, Kate, 26, has posted a never-before-seen video of the two hugging and laughing while sitting on a bench.
In the short clip, after glancing at each other, they slide together from opposite sides and she puts her legs over him, before the pair lean in for a kiss.
‘To my Liam, until we meet again in the next life❤️,’ she captioned the TikTok, which was set to an audio of Sophia Fredskild’s In Another Life.
The lyrics said: ‘In another life, maybe it was you and me. Maybe there we loved each other, right? And we were happy together.
‘Maybe in that life, we did all the things we said we would.’
Fans flooded the comments with supportive messages for Kate, including Nikita sharing: ‘Im always thinking of you Kate, we all miss Liam. Take care of yourself ❤️.’
‘He’s with you always beautiful 🤍,’ said Aleigharae as Marta wrote: ‘You’re so strong. We love you. 🤍’
Last week, Kate revealed her last conversation with Payne to the On Purpose podcast hosted by Jay Shetty.
In their long goodbye, the Strip That Down singer made a throwaway comment which now she finds ‘chilling’.
She shared: ‘I remember sitting there with him and I was going on and on and on about how much I love him and he laughed and interrupted me and was like, “Kate, you’re gonna miss your flight, your car is in the driveway. You’re acting like this is the last time you’re ever gonna see me again.”
‘I just laughed back I was like, “I know I’m being silly, I need to get in the car, I can’t miss my flight.”
‘To look back in time and know that that was the last time I was ever gonna see him again is just so chilling. But in a way, I think that the way that we said goodbye to each other, I’m so blessed, and that’s where I get the peace from it, that it was that heartfelt.
‘Our last goodbye, I wouldn’t have wanted it to be any differently.’
Kate is not the only one publicly grieving, though, as Payne’s sister detailed the devastating grief that leaves her ‘gasping for air’ since her brother’s death.
Ruth Gibbins wrote: ‘Living without you is impossible, so for now, I exist. I’m learning to laugh or smile in the right places, but mate, it’s exhausting when all I want to do is speak to you.’
Payne’s death was investigated, with several arrests made and charges brought against a group of individuals.
Two men are still facing prosecution on charges that they supplied him with drugs, while the charges against Roger Nores, his friend, were dropped.
