Vessels Involved:
- Stena Immaculate – A US-flagged oil and chemical tanker travelling to Hull from Greece. It was carrying jet fuel for the American military.
- Solong – A Portuguese-flagged container ship capable of carrying 9,500 tonnes of cargo, sailing from Scotland to the Netherlands. Amongst the cargo were 15 containers of sodium cyanide.
What Happened?
