The Brit Awards is no stranger to an explicit moment, and Danny Dyer was on hand to provide the mother of all explicit rants this year.
EastEnders actor Danny, 47, brought several chaotic moments to the 2025 ceremony, which was hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall for the fifth time.
At one point, Bad Education star Jack, 36, approached Danny for a chat that eventually had to be censored by ITV to avoid swearing making it to air.
He began by asking Danny about his new movie, Marching Powder, with Danny looking at his watch to check if he was after the watershed.
‘I don’t wanna upset anyone,’ he slurred.
‘You’re not gonna upset anyone at the Brits. It’s post-watershed, you can say what you like,’ Jack assured him, although probably later wished he hadn’t.
‘It’s basically Bridget Jones…’, Danny began describing before the censors kicked in as he dropped the C-bomb.
‘When I said you could say anything, not that word obviously! This is ITV,’ Jack panicked.
‘Well, you asked me, Jack…’, Danny defended which, to be fair, he did…
But the foul language didn’t end there, as Jack pretty much left an open goal for Danny to start ranting about the Prime Minister.
‘This isn’t technically a Brit Award, but what I love about you is you call a mug a mug,’ Jack said, asking who would win the gong for ‘t**t of the year.’
Danny said: ‘The world is being run by cranks at the moment so probably Sir Keir Starmer.’
His comment earned major applause from the packed arena, with Jack desperate to usher the show on, saying: ‘Let’s not turn this into a riot.’
However, Danny wasn’t done, as he interrupted Jack with two more expletives, branding the PM a ‘b*****d’ and a ‘s**g’.
Naturally, viewers were all over the moment and took to X in shock, with many championing Danny for not holding his tongue.
Dazmills79 said it was the ‘highlight’ of the award show, while footballbreakz declared Danny a ‘legend’.
But that wasn’t the only thing that got viewers talking last night, as some were more distracted by the fact that Danny appeared to be sitting next to a horse.
In fact, he was sharing a table with HorsegiirL, a German singer and DJ who hides her identity behind a mask.
The star walked the red carpet earlier tonight, showing off her red cape tucked behind her horse ears.
However, the songwriter, whose 2023 single My Barn My Rules went viral on TikTok, baffled fans.
‘Am I supposed to ignore the horse next to Danny Dyer,’ viewer Sana wrote on X.
‘OK who the f**ks dressed as a horse next to Danny Dyer tho,’ AAngels05 said.
‘It’s highly likely Danny Dyer bringing a horse to the Brit Awards won’t even make the top five of weirdest things to happen tonight,’ Lili said.
‘Does Danny Dyer know there’s a horse next to him,’ Eunwooleighanne said.
Hannah added: ‘I just turned the tv on and there’s a horse sat on a table next to danny dyer. I’ve been on alot of pain meds and i say to my mum “is there a horse on the tv or am i tripping?” I don’t get it. Why is there a horse at the brit awards?’
Aaron also commented: ‘I thought I was tripping balls when I saw a HORSE sitting beside Danny Dyer.’
Danny was a huge focus of the Brits this year, clearly, as he also failed to hold back from more swearing when he took to the stage to present Chappell Roan with international song of the year.
Before Pink Pony Club singer Chappell’s video message played, he added: ‘She couldn’t be f***ed to be here.’
Fans of Danny fumed throughout the night over ITV censoring his comments, with Jessie raging: ‘Actually what’s the point in talking to Danny Dyer if you’re just going to mute the entire thing.’
‘Can’t even have Danny Dyer swear on telly after 9pm. We used to be a country,’ Jamie seethed.
‘We need to know every single muted thing Danny Dyer said tonight,’ Crossy added.
Meanwhile, Sheena said: ‘@BRITs could I kindly ask that Danny Dyer presents next years Brit Awards, I appreciate that most of it will have to muted or bleeped out. But wouldn’t it be iconic.’
Earlier this year, Danny addressed taking up more work projects in an interview with Metro, saying he plans on retiring by the age of 55.
He revealed: ‘That’s always my plan. To have enough money and just feel that I’ve achieved quite a lot, and then just pick and choose if I want to do stuff now and again.’
‘I would like to think that now I’m in a position where I can actually choose and not do the obvious roles – and I have done some obvious things but I needed to pay bills,’ he continued.
‘I’m really excited about the projects I’ve got coming up this year. Got some really cool stuff coming my way. Hopefully, I can shine in them.’
‘You never know,’ the Rivals star added. ‘You’re only ever one job away from people saying you’re s**t again.
‘I’ve done some great stuff. I’ve also done some s**te, like every actor.’
