Fans are counting down the days until Netflix’s brand new game show airs – and if you’re a fan of The Traitors, this one’s for you.
The reality programme sees 12 strangers arrive at a ‘sumptuous lakeside estate’ for a game of ‘wit, cunning and deception’, with each player finding a mysterious box waiting for them as they enter their rooms.
For 11 contestants, the box will be empty, but one lucky person will possess a box containing $1 million (£789,515) with the aim of the game being to keep their secret. However, that might be a challengewith the other players eager to bag the life-changing prize for themselves.
The streaming giant dropped the trailer, and it looks like we’re in for a wild ride. It showed some of the ‘devilish games’ that the players will have to play, with the reward being clues regarding the millionaire’s identity. There are also shots of Traitors-esque ceremonies, where the insides of the eliminated player’s box is revealed.
Hosted by Peter Serafinowicz, the eight-parter which is described as will premiere on Wednesday March 26.
According to Tudum, each episode will see presenter Peter ‘task the millionaire with a secret agenda’ in order to gain an advantage, whilst the rest of the players will partake in ‘daily guest activities’ where they can win ‘strategic opportunities’ to sniff out the millionaire.
The trailer begins with host Peter narrating a shot of all twelve hopefuls toasting with glasses of champagne.
