Four injured in Tel Aviv stabbing attack
Four people were injured in a stabbing attack on Tuesday in Tel Aviv, with one victim in serious condition from a neck wound. The attack occurred on Nahalat Binyamin Street and nearby Gruzenberg Street, both busy areas. The assailant, a 28-year-old Moroccan citizen with U.S. residency, was shot dead at the scene.
The attacker entered Israel on a tourist visa on January 18, despite initial objections from border officials. Shin Bet security services approved his entry after a security assessment deemed no threat. An investigation into the incident is underway.
This is the second stabbing in Tel Aviv in four days. While Hamas did not claim responsibility, it praised the attack in a public statement.
