The Rolling Stones set to perform first UK shows in 3 years in massive comeback tour
The Rolling Stones will reportedly play four UK dates at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium as part of a European tour this summer.
The iconic rock band last played in the UK in 2022 when they played two Hyde Park concerts to sold out crowds of thousands.
According to the Daily Mail, they’re set to announce a massive European tour in the coming weeks that will include four shows at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in 2025.
An insider told the publication: ‘Mick, Keith, and Ronnie can’t wait to bring the show to UK audiences.
‘They’ve been planning it for months and are itching to get back out on the road and do what they do best, which is perform.’
‘All three of them feel so alive when they are in front of a stadium full of fans. It keeps them young.’
‘They want to show everybody that they have still got it. It is going to be amazing.’
The tour will reportedly include stops in Barcelona, Rome, Amsterdam, and Paris, as well as other European cities.
The band’s Hackney Diamonds Tour – of which these dates will be a continuation – eclipsed Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour in single-night revenue, pulling in a staggering £10,345,659 per night.
The Satisfaction hitmakers – comprising Sir Mick Jagger, 81, Keith Richards, 80, and Ronnie Wood, 77 – played 16 dates across North America as a part of their 2024 Hackney Diamonds tour.
The tour began on April 28, 2024 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas and ended on July 17, 2024 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
With a career spanning over six decades, the Rolling Stones are widely considered to be among the biggest rock bands in history.
They have sold over 250million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
Additionally, they have three Grammys to their name, including a Lifetime Achievement trophy, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
The last time the band played in their home county was 2022, when they appeared twice at British Summer Time at Hyde Park, with a warm-up show at Liverpool FC’s Anfield.
Before this, The Rolling Stones toured the UK in 2018, making stops at The London Stadium, Manchester United’s Old Trafford, and The Principality Stadium in Cardiff amongst other British stadiums.
While it’s not been officially confirmed that the rockers will be appearing on UK stages this summer, fans are certainly hopeful.
