A Range Rover driver crashed into a sewing shop in west London leaving a trail of destruction behind.

Pictures from the scene show the front of the Sewing Machine Centre on Hounslow High Street completely smashed up following the crash.

The car, which are sold new for around £100,000, crashed into the front of the shop at 3.17am this morning, witnesses told Metro.

Footage, obtained by Metro, shows the car speeding along the road before veering off moments later towards the shop.

The moment of impact is not shown on the footage, however, witnesses posted the aftermath online.

The video shows police tape surrounding the destroyed shop and the crashed car.

An eyewitness can be heard in the background saying: ‘Oh my gosh’ as various other people look on at the scene.

A local business owner at the scene told Metro: ‘It just drove straight in. The bonnet clipped something and it drove directly through the windows.

‘Glass was everywhere, security came quite quickly afterwards.’

One bakery owner told Metro: ‘Another car was speeding in front of the Range Rover before it crashed.

‘A few men got out of the vehicles afterwards but then police and fire engines were quick on the scene.

‘It happened so early this morning no one was really around for it. The police haven’t been round asking us what happened yet.’

No injuries have been reported from the scene and the owner of the shop was closed at the time.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: ‘Firefighters were called at 03.37 this morning (January 21) to a road traffic collision on High Street in Hounslow. A car had collided with a shop. Two fire engines and two fire rescue units attended the scene.’
