Metro – Our £14bn hellholes 

Britain’s pothole crisis has caused 480,000 incidents so far this year – including over 50,000 last month alone – the Metro reports.

Potholes cost the economy around £14.4 billion a year in damage, accidents, wasted time and increased emissions, the Centre for Economics and Business Research think-tank found earlier this year, the paper adds.
