Super typhoon destroys Vietnam bridge leaving 13 people missing

In northern Vietnam, the Phong Chau bridge collapsed after being struck by Super Typhoon Yagi, the most powerful storm the country has seen in 30 years. The typhoon, which made landfall on Saturday, has claimed over 60 lives and left 1.5 million people without power.

Dashcam footage captured the bridge giving way, sending several vehicles, including 10 cars and two scooters, into the Red River. Rescue efforts are ongoing for 13 missing people, with at least three saved so far.

With winds reaching up to 203 km/h (126 mph), the storm has injured over 240 people. Although Yagi has weakened into a tropical depression, authorities warn of further disruption as it moves westward.
