Hotel manager with foot fetish facing jail for string of sex attacks | UK News
Ahmed Fahmy, 45, raped a woman and licked others’ feet while they slept
A hotel manager has been convicted of raping a guest and sexually assaulting others in their rooms.
Ahmed Fahmy, 45, preyed on women while working at three London hotels in a string of attacks spanning more than 15 years.
Detectives believe there may be more victims who have yet to come forward and are urging them to do so.
The earliest offence, in 2008, saw him attack a woman who was living in a flat opposite a Hilton hotel in Watford where he was a manager, a court heard.
Prosecutors say he got the woman to remove her boots which ‘proceeded to him massaging her feet and trying to kiss her’.
The victim reported the offence soon after but Fahmy was never prosecuted.
The next attack, in 2022, occurred at the Sunborn London, an upmarket ‘yacht hotel’ built into a decommissioned superyacht.
Fahmy raped and assaulted, respectively, two women from the same group staying at the Anchor Guest Hotel in Golders Green this year
Prosecutor Jyothi Somavarapu previously told the court: ‘The defendant took her into a room at the hotel, where she was staying and he was working.
‘It seems he sucked her toes. She had returned intoxicated and he sexually assaulted her.’
In January of this year, Fahmy attacked two women who were part of the same group of four tourists staying at the Anchor Guest Hotel in Golders Green, where Fahmy was also living.
Three of the women returned home from a night out in the early hours of January 19 after getting separated from the fourth, who had their room key.
Fahmy claimed he did not have a spare key and told one of the women she could stay in another room for £80 in cash.
After accepting the offer, she went to bed and was awakened by Fahmy licking her foot.
She told him to stop and go away, which he did, but was awoken a second time by him doing a similar thing, after which she kicked him and again told him to stop.
The fourth woman returned later in the morning, having lost her key. Fahmy ‘manoeuvred her into his bedroom’ and raped her, detectives say.
Fahmy faces a jail sentence when he’s sentenced later this year
She revealed her ordeal to police the following day when she was found in distress, having again become separated from her group.
This led to the other member of the group whom Fahmy had assaulted also reporting the attack, prompting a wider investigation which led to today’s conviction.
Fahmy, of West Heath Drive, North London, was found guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault at Hendon Magistrates Court.
He is due to be sentenced at a hearing in September.
